Frequently Asked Questions

How much does computer support cost?

Home IT support is $120 + GST per hour. Business IT support is $150 + GST per hour. Both are billed in 30-minute increments. Parts, fixed-scope repairs and specialist data recovery are quoted before we proceed. See our pricing page for details.

Do you offer onsite, remote and drop-off support?

Yes. We can visit homes and businesses across Perth, solve suitable problems remotely, or arrange a device drop-off. We will recommend the most practical option after hearing what is happening.

Which Perth areas do you service?

Microsys serves the greater Perth metropolitan area. Check the service areas page or call us if you are unsure whether we cover your suburb.

How long does a typical repair take?

Many software and setup problems can be resolved in one appointment. Hardware faults, parts orders and complex recovery work can take longer. We will explain the likely timeframe before starting.

What happens if the problem cannot be fixed?

Our no-fix, no-fee policy means you do not pay for a repair that does not work. We will still explain what we found and the sensible next options.

Is there a guarantee on repairs?

Completed repair work includes a 90-day workmanship guarantee. This covers the work performed, while manufacturer warranties continue to apply to eligible parts and devices.

Do you support businesses as well as home users?

Yes. We provide one-off business IT support, ongoing managed IT services, cyber security and network support. Home users can view our residential support options.

Can you help with slow computers, Wi-Fi and data transfers?

Yes. Common jobs include slow laptops, startup problems, malware removal, Wi-Fi drop-outs, new computer setup, backups and moving files to a new device. Start with the service page that matches the problem or contact us for guidance.

What should I do before a repair?

If possible, note any error messages and bring relevant chargers or passwords. Do not keep restarting a failing drive or install random repair tools, as that can make recovery harder. Our repair checklist has a simple preparation list.

How do I book?
