A Wi-Fi connection that keeps dropping out is one of the most frustrating — and most common — problems we’re asked about.
Router Placement and Interference
Routers placed in cupboards, behind TVs, or far from where you actually use the internet are a leading cause of drop-outs. Other devices (microwaves, baby monitors, neighbouring Wi-Fi networks) can also interfere.
ISP Issues
Sometimes the problem isn’t your equipment at all — it’s the connection coming into the house. This is worth ruling out before assuming it’s a hardware fault.
When It’s a Hardware Fault
An ageing router, a faulty modem, or a home simply too large for a single router to cover properly may need a proper networking fix rather than a reset-and-hope approach.
